Some days ago I went in St. Blaise in Switzerland and I had the chance to meet Jean-Marie Schaller, CEO of the brand Louis Moinet.

Especially for you guys I did a little interview. But first of all, I’ll make a small presentation of the brand. I’ll present you with more details the brand, its philosophy and of course their amazing timepieces in others articles.

Louis Moinet is an Swiss based independent watch brand located in Saint-Blaise, specialising in the creation of high-end timepieces. They often use exotic materials and innovative technology, underpinned by the philosophy of limited-edition mechanical art.

Under the guidance of founder, CEO and creative director Jean-Marie Schaller, the brand harnesses the passion and inventiveness of one of the greatest horologists of all time – M. Louis Moinet.

Ten years ago, Jean-Marie Schaller decided to make revived the prestigious name of the inspirational master watchmaker. Through a creative approach, the brand aims to enrich the rich legacy left by the French watchmaker Louis Moinet.

Today, the brand drives the concept of exclusivity at its paroxysm by developing only limited editions or unique pieces.

Les Ateliers Louis Moinet create some of the most exceptional timepieces, with a visionary spirit, referring to the heavy watchmaking heritage bequeathed by this talented watchmaker. For the record, Abraham-Louis Breguet himself would have said that Louis Moinet was the best watchmaker existing in the 19th century… With no doubt he was an ingenious craftsman who perfected various techniques in the field of watchmaking and developed several important inventions that changed and enriched the horological landscape.

Louis Moinet is a brand apart, with a strong identity, a particular signature, and a big history. And today, Jean-Marie, through the art for which he has a real passion develops the quintessence of the watchmaking.
