Richard Mille is back in the saddle for the 2025 Le Mans Classic with the RM 30-01 Le Mans Classic. It’s the latest commemorative tick box in their long-running partnership with the biennial vintage racing spectacle.
The case doesn’t beat around the bush. Measuring 42mm wide by 50mm long and 14.15 mm thick, this barrel-shaped construction isn’t here to blend in. The tonneau profile is quintessential RM, hewn from grade 5 titanium. That’s 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium for those keeping count. Lightweight yet rigid, it toes the line between race-ready utility and luxury trinketry. You’ll spot polished bevels, machined edges, and the kind of finishing you could lose an afternoon staring at.
For the dial, Richard Mille claims the layout was inspired by a racetrack, though you’d need a generous imagination and a forgiving squint to see it. There’s a 24-hour counter with a green-highlighted race start zone, a clutch engagement indicator at 11 o’clock, a function selector at 3 and a digital style date display with twin co-axial discs. Power reserve is presented in a race track-esque layout between 6:20 and 12:05.
Under the hood is the RMAR2 calibre, modified for this edition. Alongside the aforementioned indicators, it’s got a patented declutchable variable geometry rotor, an oversized semi instantaneous date, INCABLOC 908.22.211.100 shock protection and a balance moment inertia of 4.8 mg•cm².
Tied up with a green rubber strap, the RM 30-01 Le Mans Classic wears sporty and snug. Only 150 pieces are being made, so you’ll need to move faster than a Le Mans pit crew if you want one. The watch is priced at a cool 220,000 Swiss Francs.
