Getting watches onto the silver screen is something Hamilton’s proven adept at. I’ll always remember seeing the Ventura in 1997’s Men in Black, though I know they’ve been in a lot more films than just that one. The newest film to feature a Hamilton piece is Disclosure Day, directed by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg.
It will see the main character, Daniel Kellner, attempting to disclose that aliens have landed on Earth, although we won’t reveal much more about it than that here (or indeed in any movie reviews here, as we don’t do those anymore).

Two watches will feature in the upcoming film, which I will definitely be looking for. The first is the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm H69409930, which will be the daily piece worn by the main character, Daniel Kellner. While we don’t know anything about Kellner beyond what we’ve already mentioned, we know he’s clearly a man of taste, as the Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm is a great everyday action piece, although it has only 50m of water resistance. The 38mm x 9.5mm steel case with a black PVD finish looks great, and the black dial with white details provides excellent contrast. Inside is the manually wound H-50 calibre, based on an ETA 2801-2, with an 80-hour power reserve and a 3Hz beat rate. One of these will cost $745 before taxes.

The second watch is the Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart Auto 40mm H32675540, which is the watch of choice for the film’s antagonist, played by Colin Firth. It has a partially open dial that allows you to see part of the self-winding calibre H-10, which is based on the ETA C07.611 and offers an 80-hour power reserve and a 3Hz beat rate. The dark blue dial is classy, as is the watch itself, and measuring 40mm x 11.05mm makes it a true dress piece. The price for this one is $1,295 before taxes.

I like that these watches seem to be just regular Hamilton pieces that’ll be featured on the silver screen. It’s not that I don’t like special-edition collector’s pieces for franchises, but I like that the characters are clearly just regular people in that universe who happened to choose those watches. Disclosure Day seems like one to check out when it releases in June 2026, not least to spot these two pieces.
