HYT – Since The Dawn of time

Pic 6 H1 Iceberg

The first variation (and my favourite) is the eye-catching H1 Iceberg. The watch features three colours that we saw in Baselworld (the blue, the white and the grey). The white colour was chosen for indexes, numerals and the rubber strap. The grey is the colour of the Titanium case, which has a satin, brushed and shot-peened finish, the latter being a process where a surface is hit by high-speed spherical pellets to give it an aesthetically unique appearance. Moreover the grey and white are used for all the details of the dial. Finally, the blue is the colour of the fluid, the crown protective coating and some dial details, such as the power reserve scale and under the small seconds wheel at the 9. That completes the whole HYT package. One more important thing to mention is that eighteen months were spent researching and developing this new fluid colour.

The strikingly fresh H1 Iceberg will be only made in 50 pieces and I think it’s the perfect luxury watch for the summer. With the combination of the three colours I have to say that this new H1 looks awesome.

Now, another version is the Velvet Gun that uses the first developed yellow fluid.

HYT added unique metallic shades on their H1 case architecture to give it elegant purple tones.

The “Velvet Gun” comes with a purple-coloured PVD titanium case, which has a brushed, shot-peened and satin finish. The minutes dial is now in a bright silver rhodium finish with a beautiful circular pattern.

We can also see some yellow details on the power reserve and the indexes, which cause us to remember the colour of the fluid.
