Mido has been quietly stringing together a streak of absolute bangers, and the new Multifort 8 One Crown Black PVD Ref. M055.507.37.051.00 shows exactly why watch nerds are paying attention. The original Multifort lineage stretches all the way back to 1934, built on the promise of durable, magnetic-resistant daily beaters. When Mido dropped the octagonal Multifort 8 lineup, it immediately tapped into that hugely popular integrated 1970s sports-watch vibe. By stripping away the internal rotating bezel and second crown of the earlier “Two Crowns” variant, this streamlined “One Crown” version gets straight to the point: an aggressive, dark, urban tool watch that punch well above its weight class without draining your bank account.
The 40mm x 9.9mm stainless steel tonneau case hits a serious sweet spot for modern wrist presence, paired with a slender profile and a 44.86mm lug-to-lug span that guarantees it wears like a dream on almost any wrist. The real magic is in the finish.
