Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca

Introducing: Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca

This devilishly handsome chronograph shows that pastel green has never looked this sharp or this wearable.

Parmigiani Fleurier is leaning into green, and honestly, it suits them. The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph in this new Silver Verzasca edition feels like a logical extension rather than just another color drop. The “Verzasca” designation refers to the Swiss valley of the same name, known for its deep green waters flowing over granite rocks, and you can see exactly what they were going for the moment the light hits the dial.

This new version is the fourth take on the Sport Chronograph since its 2023 debut, followed by the 2024 releases and last year’s Cermet version, and at this point it is clear that the brand’s new Verzasca edition feels less like a surprise and more like a confident next step.

The case is 42mm x 12.9mm, keeping it wearable without drifting into the chunky territory, and the mix with satin brushed and polished steel gives it that quiet, refined sportiness the PF line does so well. The knurled bezel is still here, of course, but with a twist; instead of the finer 225 incisions you get on the dressier Tonda PF models, this model has 160 incisions, making the grip better and offering a bolder look. You also get 100 meters of water resistance.

The dial is where things really come alive. The green is neither flat nor predictable; it shifts depending on the angle, keeping it interesting without being loud. The hand-guilloché clou triangulaire pattern, meaning a triangular stud texture applied by hand. Applied hour markers are filled with black Super LumiNova, and the skeletonized delta hands in rhodium plating keep everything sharp and legible. The tri-compax layout is classic, and the color matching across the subdials and flange ties the whole thing together in a very clean, considered way.

The calibre PF070 is visible through the sapphire caseback, and is operating at a frequency of 5Hz (36,000vph), and that smooth, almost fluid sweep you only really notice once you have spent time with slower beat movements. It is not just about the sweep though, the higher frequency also brings improved chronograph precision. The COSC-certified movement uses a column wheel and vertical clutch setup, and delivers a power reserve of 65 hours, ticking all the right boxes.

The rotor is a nice touch too, skeletonized and crafted in 22k pink gold, with a design inspired by the steering wheel of the Ferrari 250 GTO, which is one of those details that you do not need, but once you know it is there, it adds a bit of character. And importantly, this is a fully integrated chronograph, not a modular add-on, which is exactly what you want at this level.
