Omega Unveils The New Railmaster Master Chronometer Watches

The dark horse of Omega's 1957 trio returns, now more resilient and tougher than before.

The original 1957 Railmaster was Omega’s answer to the magnetic chaos engineers and railway workers had to deal with daily. Omega’s bringing the Railmaster back in 2025 and this time, it’s got a fresh coat of polish; literally and figuratively. Available in grey or beige gradient dials, these watches offer a choice between central seconds or a small seconds sub-dial.

Encased in a stainless steel case with a mix of brushed and polished finishes, the Railmaster measures 38mm x 12.36mm with 45mm wide lyre-shaped lugs and a polished bezel. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the screw-in caseback and conical crown resist water up to 150 meters.

The grey dial variant boasts a black gradient effect, rhodium-plated Broad Arrow hands and white Super-LumiNova on the markers. In contrast, the beige dial version leans into a vintage aesthetic with a black gradient, grey PVD coated hands and aged-looking Super-LumiNova. Both dials maintain a clean, dateless layout, featuring Omega logo, brand name and “Railmaster”.

These watches run on Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements Calibre 8806 (central seconds) with 55h and 8804 (small seconds) with 60h power reserve and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Movements are visible through the display casebacks with rhodium plated bridges and Geneva waves in Arabesque.

The Railmaster comes with either a leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The grey dial pairs with black leather, the beige with cognac, both with folding clasps. Prices start at €5,700 for the grey dial on leather and €6,400 for the beige with small seconds. On a bracelet, they’re €6,100 and €6,800. Available now at Omega boutiques and authorized retailers.
