Just over two weeks ago, we reported on the historic announcement of the One-Of-A-Kind Rolex Auction in Partnership with Phillips. Tonight in London, the results are in, and they have shattered expectations. Conducted by Aurel Bacs, the landmark sale brought in an eye-watering total of GBP 37,300,000/USD 49,467,260/EUR 43,488,070/CHF 41,153,090 across the four unique Daytonas, making it the largest single consignment to a charity watch auction in history.
What makes this sale even better is that Phillips waived all buyer’s premiums. Every single penny goes directly to two causes: the Federer Foundation, supporting early childhood education in Southern Africa and Switzerland, and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Re:wild, focused on global ecosystem restoration.
The four unique Rolex Cosmograph Daytonas, each built around a theme representing the four seasons:

Look, we all love watches, but when you step back for a second, it’s honestly crazy what people are willing to spend these days! Granted, it’s all going to a great charitable cause, but seeing four Daytonas casually fetch nearly fifty million dollars in a single evening is a wild reminder of just how high the ceiling can go in the watch world.
