Tudor Unveils The Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” Watch Ref. 79377KN

Lightweight, heavy-hitting carbon fibre meets mechanical muscle; the Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25" is built for the fast lane.

Born out of TUDOR’s long flirtation with motor racing, the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” rolls into the paddock with the swagger of a pitlane veteran. Built in the spirit of the 2025 Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team, this chrono doesn’t scream for attention but hums with quiet, serious intent. Sporting a fresh coat of carbon fibre from top to bottom, it’s clearly tuned for performance over pomp. With only 2,025 pieces in circulation, this one’s geared for those who know the value of lightweight grit.

Let’s talk hardware. The case is cut from full carbon fibre, bringing the diameter to 42mm with a noticeably slimmer profile than its stainless steel siblings. Height specs haven’t been broadcast, but the watch is certainly trimmer on the wrist. A fixed tachymeter bezel in carbon keeps things race-ready, while the caseback’s done up in titanium with a stealthy PVD finish. Titanium pushers throw back to the brand’s earliest chronographs, blending modern guts with old-school muscle.

Dial-wise, it’s got that “racing white” dome look with twin carbon fibre sub-counters. The whole setup mirrors the Racing Bulls’ livery. Snowflake hands, outlined in black and packed with Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova, punch up the visibility. There’s a 45-minute register at 3, small seconds at 9, and a date parked down at 6. All business, no drama.

Beating inside is the Manufacture Calibre MT5813, co-developed with Breitling but dressed in TUDOR’s own workshop flair. It’s COSC-certified, of course, and runs with a silicon balance spring, column wheel, vertical clutch, and a hefty 70-hour reserve. A proper workhorse, fine-tuned for accuracy that even exceeds COSC norms.

The hybrid strap, fitted with carbon end-links, wraps the look up with a neat motorsport nod. Priced CHF 6,800 / EUR 7,400 / USD 7,575 / GBP 6,250 (VAT incl), availability is limited to those quick enough to catch it before it’s gone.
