Watches & Wonders 2026: Oris Artelier Complication

Quiet sophistication meets everyday complication.

BY JOVAN K

The new Artelier Complication might be the most complete Oris release of the year. This is Oris taking one of its most elegant families and refining it into something genuinely modern. Previous Artelier models had charm, but they could feel overly busy and slightly dated. This new generation fixes that completely. Cleaner lines, better proportions, sharper detailing, and a dial layout that finally gives the complications room to breathe.

The stainless steel case measures 39.5mm x 11.8mm, and 45.5mm lug-to-lug, which falls within an ideal range for a refined daily wearer. Large enough to feel contemporary, compact enough to remain elegant. Brushed and polished finishes give the case real presence while maintaining the understated tone expected of the Artelier line. A discreet pusher at 4:30 adjusts the second time zone, keeping the profile clean and practical. Up front is a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, while the screwed caseback features a mineral glass display window. Water resistance is 30 meters, reminding you this watch was built for tailored sleeves, airport lounges, and evening dinners, not deep water cosplay.

Inside is the automatic Oris Calibre 782, based on the proven Sellita SW200 architecture. It runs at 4Hz with a 41-hour power reserve and displays hours, minutes, hacking seconds, moon phase, and a 24-hour second time zone. That combination makes real sense. There is romance from the moon phase, utility from the travel display, and dependability from a movement platform known for everyday serviceability. No unnecessary drama, no empty gimmicks, just thoughtful mechanics that suit the watch perfectly.

You can choose between a dark brown leather strap with a butterfly clasp or a stainless steel bracelet. Pricing starts at EUR 2,300 for leather and EUR 2,500 for a bracelet, with availability from May 2026. In today’s market, where too many brands confuse price inflation with progress, the Artelier Complication feels refreshingly intelligent. Elegant without being dull, useful without being cluttered, and refined without trying too hard. This is Oris at its sharpest.
