Building upon their previous Pioneer Tourbillon models, H. Moser & Cie. presents a new take on the brand’s robust tourbillon model in the form of the new Pioneer Tourbillon Burgundy. This latest iteration combines a compact case with a striking burgundy dial and an updated movement, blending haute horology with everyday wearability.
The case is crafted from 5N red gold, measuring 40mm x 12mm with a predominantly brushed finish and polished accents that highlight certain edges and surfaces. The recessed areas on the caseband are decorated with a striated pattern to add a subtle textural element. The screw-in crown secures 120m water resistance, suggesting a degree of practicality beyond the delicate tourbillon mechanism within. Both the front and the back are protected by a clear view sapphire crystal.
Pioneer Tourbillon Burgundy sports a dial with a dazzling burgundy fumé effect that enables the dial transitioning from a lighter center to a darker periphery. A sunburst pattern enhances the dial’s texture and that of the fumé effect. A subtle touch is the brand’s logo, subtly applied in transparent lacquer, maintaining a clean aesthetic.
Time is indicated with the help of Super-LumiNova filled red gold applied indices and leaf-shaped hands. The highlight of the dial is the tourbillon aperture, present at 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre HMC 805, an automatic movement with a 3-day power reserve. A revised version of the HMC 804, with openworked bridges, an anthracite grey finish with Moser double stripes and a skeletonized 18k red gold rotor.
Paired with a khaki rubber strap with 5N red gold clasp and options for hand-stitched alligator leather or textile straps available separately. It is part of the permanent collection and retails for CHF 59,900 (including taxes).
