Introducing The Giuliano Mazzuoli Manometro 10th Anniversary Edition Watch

By James Phang

Inspired by a tire pressure gauge (which translates to Manometro in Italian), the Manometro was first introduced by Italian industrial designer Giuliano Mazzuoli in 2005. Coming from a strong lineage of watchmakers, Mazzuoli strongly believes in simplicity and functionality, and has consistently reflected this philosophy in his designs, bringing to us the Manometro which turned out to be the brand’s greatest hit.MRP10A (1)

In May 2015, Mazzuoli marks the 10th anniversary of his signature Manometro wristwatch with a 120-piece limited edition, recalling the 12 months of the year multiplied by 10 to remind us that the watch is just as relevant as when it was first introduced, capturing a timeless presence in the watchmaking scene.

The gorgeous ivory dial with black Arabic numerals is encased in a polished steel case spans 45mm across, and 15mm in thickness. The red seconds hand resembles the pointer on a pressure gauge while the thick crown positioned at 2 o’clock gives a real manometer touch to the timepiece. It’s combined with a narrow Tuscan natural-color calf leather strap, emphasizing proportions that bring out the instrument-like appearance. This 10th anniversary edition has the limited edition number written by hand at six o’clock on its dial. Fitted with an automatic ETA movement, the watch is solid, robust and reliable.

While the Manometer was manufactured in Switzerland to ensure the highest watchmaking standards, the Italian design of this timepiece is clearly perceived in every single component of the watch from the dial to the strap and everything in between.

To evoke memories and inspire feelings, Giuliano Mazzuoli also invites their customers to post photographs featuring one of his timepieces on their social networks with a hashtag #giulianomazzuolitenyears to celebrate this special occasion, creating a sort of time machine where people can give their testimony of moments from everyday life wearing a Giuliano Mazzuoli watch on their wrists.
