Mark Sinclair is no stranger to the world of watches as he has been a regular member of several online communities and has also played an integral part in creating and hosting watch related events. In addition, he has also shared his passion for watches with Monochrome Watches and Fratello Watches, and these interviews sparked Mark’s interest in writing about watches on a more or less regular basis. Zach Kazan – Contributing Writer

Zach is a native of Concord, NH and has been an appreciator of watches since childhood, when he had a habit of ripping watch advertisements out of magazines that his parents had yet to read. He has an appreciation for all watches and thinks that this is a hobby that should be fun, whether your choice is a $50 Seiko 5, a complicated Patek Philippe, or anything in between. Zach is currently kind of obsessed with Grand Seiko and Rolex references from the early 90s. His other hobbies include home audio and taking pictures, although he is a very bad photographer. As a Brit living in America, Ben is a stranger in an increasingly strange land. A part-time job at a jeweler’s working to pay rent whilst at university blossomed into a passion for watches. 5 years later, he hasn’t looked back. Ben is far more interested by the stories vintage watches can tell us, rather than how many zeroes they have when they sell at auction. Osheen is a long time collector and passionate watch aficionado. He is the Founder and Chief Editor of the Sydney Watch Guide based out of Australia. Alongside Sydney Watch Guide, he has also expanded and started OSHEEN’s House of Horology, an online shop that specialises in vintage, pre-owned and niche watches from around the world. John Galt caught the horology bug back in 2010 on his first visit to a London watch show and has snowballed since; John has become an avid writer and blogger of timepieces of all kinds, from everyday timepieces to modern Luxury HauteHorology, his favorite brands being HYT and GreubelForsey that push the boundaries of modern watch-making. Jonathan Kopp – Contributor

Jonathan Kopp has an avid enthusiasm for timepieces of all genre, from vintage pieces to modern Luxury Haute Horology. His preference goes to small and independent high-end watchmakers. He loves the difference rather than classicism, although he admits being in love with several ultra-classic pieces. An ambitious and curious guy by nature, Nikhil caught the Horology bug as soon as his dad gave him his old Tissot. Since then, he has been collecting watches and using them as the tools there are meant to be by bringing them out on various outdoor experiences such as rafting, rappelling, caving, etc. With his watches accumulating lots of scratches and dents, he strongly believes each watch tells its own story and one should cherish their watch rather than keeping it mint. Umar is an Industrial Designer based in Toronto, Canada, specializing in design strategy and innovation. Except for the mechanical wonders, he has been getting into smartwatches and finds himself critiquing them every now and again. He has amassed quite a collection of them with the latest addition being the Pebble Time Round. Umar has a penchant for traditional timepieces too. As a design himself, Daniel Will-Harris’ “Past, Present, Future” pieces have a special place in his heart. Mark largely collects practical watches, but never hesitates if he can snag a deal good enough to call it an economical decision. He loves taking photos of his collection and participating in the tight-knit watch community on Instagram. You can see his photos and follow him here. He is highly opinionated and expects nothing but the best and at the cheapest price possible. In his eyes, a watch needs to have a superb and bold design to be worthy of anybody’s wrist. Luke Rottman – Contributor

Whether it was seeing Rolex commercials while watching tennis on TV or learning that his music idols (Eric Clapton and John Mayer) regularly were spotted sporting a vintage Patek or Rolex. It was at the age of ten when Luke’s fascination with watches began. Luke first started off buying and selling small-brand vintage watches that were in the sub-$1000 price range. He later worked his way up to buying and selling high-end vintage watches from world-renowned brands, specializing mostly in pre-1980 Rolex watches. In January 2014, Luke successfully launched The Watchadviser. Summer’s stepfather introduced her to the world of watches when she was at a young age. He’d gotten a watch with a face that lit up, and she’d become incredibly intrigued. Charles Walhingford was bitten at 6 years old by the watch bug with his father’s Bulova Accutron Spaceview. To him, nothing can beat that sweep and hum. Charles believes the hard work, time and artistry that the watchmaker spent making your watch is a direct reflection of the hard work and sacrifice you have made to afford that particular timepiece. Charles recently started a Youtube channel where he shows his admiration for watches.
