Vacheron Constantin makes the Traditionnelle Complete Calendar sub-collection more versatile.

Vacheron Constantin’s Traditionnelle collection comprises elegantly style watches that are a testament to the craft of fine Swiss watchmaking. The latest addition to the Traditionnelle family is the new Complete Calendar featuring a grey dial and a white gold case.

The Complete Calendar complication has been a part of the Traditionnelle collection for a while now and currently exists in two variations: one with a Platinum case and dial, and the other with a pink gold case and a silver opaline dial. This new variation keeps the overall design DNA of the previous releases intact but brings forth two noteworthy updates, namely a black dial and a white gold case adding more versatility to the collection. Measuring 41mm in diameter and a thickness of just 10.7mm, the case on this watch is svelte but has been designed to offer a nice presence on the wrist. The entire case has been crafted from 18k white gold and has been beautifully polished throughout. It is water-resistant to 30 meters, which is on the lower side, but then again you would not want to jump into a pool with this beauty on your wrist. Or would you?

Packed inside the case is a Matt grey dial, that offers a nice contrast to the white gold case, sharp faceted dauphine hands, and applied indices. The dial layout is thoughtfully implemented, presenting a plethora of information such that the legibility is not impacted. There are two displays for the day of the week and month of the year just above the marker at 9 and 3, a beautiful Moonphase display below the hand stack, and a printed date chapter ring on the outer periphery that can be read using the crescent moon tipped hand.

Turning the watch over reveals the in-house calibre 2460 QCL/1. An automatic movement, the calibre 2460 QCL/1 operates at 4 Hz and offers a power reserve of around 40 hours. In terms of functions, you get regular timekeeping plus the calendar functions with a Moonphase that requires manual intervention once in 122 years. As expected from a brand like Vacheron, the movement is tastefully decorated and features perlage, Geneva striping on the bridges, and a 22kt gold skeletonized rotor.

The new Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar comes attached to a black alligator strap and the retail price of the watch has been set at $41,300.
