Parmigiani Fleurier continues to be one of our favourite brands – we’ve loved the pieces Parmigiani Fleurier has been putting out for the last few years, and 2026 has been no different with the maison celebrating its 30th anniversary with all manner of special pieces. Three versions of their sporty Tonda PF watches are now being released in solid platinum to cement the 30th anniversary, and they all focus on the rattrapante pieces released over the years. Each watch is limited to 30 pieces.
Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante – 2022
The first of the Rattrapante pieces from Parmigiani was the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante and it was introduced with much applause as an innovative yet simple-looking watch. The Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante is neither a GMT watch nor a rattrapante in the terms we’re familiar with, yet it provides a legitimately useful feature in the form of its dual time display activated by the press of the discreet case pusher at 8 O’clock.
Doing so advances the hour hand forward one hour revealing a second, gold hand that had been hidden all along, the gold hand remembers the home time while the silver hour hand shows the local time.
The piece comes in a 40mm x 10.7mm platinum case with 60m of water resistance and is secured to the wrist with a solid platinum bracelet. The self-winding calibre PF051 is on display through the caseback with a 3Hz beat rate and a 48-hour power reserve. The price is CHF91,000.

Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante – 2023
Following the success of the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante from 2022 was the Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante, and in 2026 we get the solid platinum version of it. This watch also features two superimposed hands, this time, it’s the minutes hands.
Two pushers at 10 O’clock and 8 O’clock advance a gold minutes hand forwards in one-minute and five-minute increments respectively. Once set, the gold hand will stay fixed until you advance it again or use the gold pusher in the crown to make it fly back to the silver minutes hand. This function allows you to use the watch as a countdown timer, or indeed a count-up timer if you need.
It’s also presented in a 40mm x 10.7mm crafted from platinum with a platinum bracelet and with 60m of water resistance. The calibre PF052 has identical specs to that of the previous piece, with a 3Hz beat rate and 48 hours of power reserve. The price isn’t quite identical, though at CHF93,000.
Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux – 2026
My favourite watch from Watches & Wonders Geneva this year was Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda PF Chronograph Mystérieux, which in this 30th anniversary guise features a platinum case measuring 40mm x 13mm with 100m of water resistance and, you guessed it, a platinum bracelet. While all of the watches were genuinely new complications when they were introduced, we knew it was only a matter of time before the chronograph Tonda PF would be released and that that watch would be a step up.
The chronograph of the Tonda PF Chronograph Mystérieux is visible only when you need it to be, and it’s activated by the monopusher at 8 O’clock. Pressing the pusher flicks the silver hands to 12 O’clock and starts the chronograph, which can track the minutes and hours; the golden hands stay put to keep track of the current time of day. A second press of the pusher halts the silver chronograph hands while a third press resets them to display the current time.
This was the first time the world had seen a complication like this, and three clutches were used in the calibre PF053 to make it all work. This watch is also self-winding and has a power reserve of 60 hours with a 4Hz beat rate. The price of this special version is CHF99,600.
Honestly, it would be difficult for me to choose which of these I’d buy if money were no object; no wait, it’s easy- I’d choose all three. If I had to be forced to choose one, it would be the chronograph, though, because, well, come on.
