The day had finally arrived. My gift from Melbourne Watch Company, and WrsitReview.com had come. Excitement came over me as I began to open rip open the package. The first thing you notice is the impeccably designed display box. Protective, decorative, and accompanied with a warranty card; everything you would want for your brand new time piece. Upon opening, the stylish design of the Flinder pops right out at you, begging you to put it on your wrist.
The leather band is so incredibly comfortable, that I have no intention of replacing it (like I’ve done with my others). Usually I have an issue with the dial of my watches because I do not like to over-tighten the band, they have a tendency to shift towards the back of my wrist, and yet the Flinder stays right at home.
This thing has everything going for it. Quality, style, accuracy; there is nothing this watch doesn’t have. You don’t usually see this level of quality for this price. In the past four days of wearing it, I have gotten close to 20 compliments; most of which have come from people who aren’t as obsessed with watches as we are. It has the ability to grab the attention of even the most oblivious of people. My usual routine consists of removing my watch once I get home and placing it with my wallet, sunglasses etc. But not this one; I’ve been wearing it all the way up till it’s time for bed.
All in all, I could not be any happier with this piece. I find myself staring at it all day long; gently cleaning the display. I even take it off from time to time so I can get a better look; then of course, I put it right back on.
