Patek Philippe has unveiled a new version of its classic Calatrava model in the form of the Calatrava 6007G. The latest iteration of the iconic timepiece comes in three different colors – yellow (ref. 6007G-001), red (6007G-010), and blue (6007G-011) – and features colorful accents on the minute and hour track, as well as the center seconds hand. The new design is meant to give Calatrava a more casual feel.
The 40mm x 9mm white gold case of the Calatrava 6007G radiates class and sophistication. White gold is used for the hands and Arabic numerals on the black dial, while Super-Luminova is used to increase legibility. At the dial’s center, a stamped guilloche in the “carbon style” is surrounded by concentric rings that have circular graining and brushing. There is a date window at three o’clock, while 30 meters is the rating for water resistance.
Powering the Calatrava 6007G is Patek Philippe’s newer-generation movement, the caliber 26-330 S C, which has a 45-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, it offers hacking seconds and features a second wheel with long, slotted teeth that were produced using LIGA to reduce backlash and provide a smoother seconds hand ticking.
The black calfskin strap of the Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G has contrast stitching that matches the color accents on the dial. The retail price for each color of the 6007G is $37,850, and the watch is available now.
