Those in the horological know, know that Czapek & Cie is one of the most historically rich watch braոds in existence. Revived in 2011 and known to carry the stylistic influence of the Polish watchmaking heritage, they have just released the Faubourg de Cracovie Crossroads, a chronograph that honors the brand’s legacy. The Crossroads carries that tradition forward but adds a sportier, more dynamic touch through the inclusion of a tachymeter scale, which connects the piece to the world of motorsports.
The stainless steel case measures 41.5mm x 11.5mm where the lugs are hollowed, and the pushers are neatly integrated into the crown guards.
The dial of the Crossroads has a guilloché pattern that Czapek co-developed with Metalem, presenting an intersecting, linear design. This pattern gives the dial a sporty and refined feel, almost resembling tire treads. The tachymeter scale is positioned around the dial perimeter, It is available in two versions: a Deep Blue with contrasting subdials or a limited edition “Secret Alloy” monochrome gray, made with precious metals.
The watch is powered by the automatic SXH3 Caliber, providing a 65-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the open case back.
The Crossroads comes with a blue alligator leather strap, secured by a folding clasp. While pricing hasn’t been officially disclosed, availability includes a limited run of 50 pieces for the “Secret Alloy” edition, whereas the Deep Blue will be produced without restrictions, but still tied to the production capabilities of Czapek & Cie.
