The independent Swiss watchmaker Laurent Ferrier is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the foundation of the brand and to honor this occasion, they’ve released a reimagined version of their coveted dual-time watch: the Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue.
The white gold case measures 41mm x 12.64mm including the domed sapphire crystal. The brand’s signature rounded “ball” crown is positioned at 3 o’clock, with oblong pushers on the opposite side for adjusting the second time zone. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.
The dial features a convex white gold center with champlevé enamel, depicting blue continents, dark oceans, and gold enamel specks as city lights. A slate grey satin-brushed hour ring surrounds it, with white gold drop-shaped indices and cabochon markers at 3 and 9 o’clock. The bevelled date aperture is at 3 o’clock, and the second-time zone window at 9 o’clock. Polished, curved white gold Assegai-shaped hands indicate local time, while a 24-hour disc displays the second time zone.
Inside, the automatic LF230.02 calibre runs at 21,600vph with a 72-hour power reserve. It has a gold micro-rotor with pawl-fitted unidirectional winding and a natural escapement with double direct impulse on the balance. Visible through the sapphire caseback, it features fine hand-finishing and an integrated GMT module.
The Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue is paired with a grey hand stitched Nubuck leather strap with ‘tone on tone’ topstitching and Alcantara lining. It is secured with a white gold pin buckle or an optional double blade folding clasp. The watch is in regular production and is priced at CHF 90,000 before taxes.
