Introducing The A. Lange & Söhne Triple Split Watch For 2021 (Live Pics)

Lange gives the Triple Split a warm makeover.

German luxury watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Triple Split chronograph watch in white gold in 2018. For 2021 Lange is giving this beautiful and super complicated watch a warm makeover. The new variation features a beautiful blue dial which is packed inside a Red gold case.

One of the biggest changes on the dial comes in the form of the new rich midnight blue colorway, which looks livelier and engaging than the grey dial variation from 2018. The blue dial also offers a nice contrast to the pink gold case and other gold elements. The layout remains identical to the white gold model and features polished and applied baton-style hour markers, alpha-shaped hands, and a distinctive four register setup. The register at 12 tracks the chronograph hours, the one at 4 tracks chronograph minutes, the one at 8 displays running seconds, and at 6 is a small power reserve indicator. It is worth mentioning that all chronograph functions use two hands to implement the trip split functionality to measure lap times with a duration of up to twelve hours.

The case on this watch has been crafted from Pink gold, which looks warm and elegant. Choice of material aside the case remains similar in design and dimensions to the existing white gold variation. It still features a nice rounded profile, with long downward curving lugs, and measures 43.2mm in diameter with a thickness of 15.6mm. The case is splash-resistant and offers a water resistance of just 30 meters.

Turning the watch over reveals the manually wound in-house caliber L132.1 that powers this watch. A technical powerhouse, this movement comprises 567 components, operates at 3 Hz, and offers a power reserve of around 55 hours. The movement comes equipped with a column wheel for smoother operation of the chronograph functionality. But more than anything else, the L132.1 is a beauty to behold and is exquisitely decorated. From Glashutte stripes on the bridges to the blued screws and hand-polished bevels, the decoration on this movement makes the rear of this watch more enticing than the front.

The new A. Lange & Söhne Triple Split in Pink gold is limited to just 100 pieces and would be accompanied by a blue alligator strap. The watch will retail for EUR 159,400.
