You’ve probably heard it a million times: the watches unveiled at the Only Watch Auction benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) research. But here’s the thing: repetition isn’t always bad, especially when it comes to such a vital cause. Enter the Atelier de Chronométrie AdC30 Only Watch, a timepiece that not only exemplifies the brand’s commitment to artisanal watchmaking and timeless design, but also plays an important role in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) research.

It’s a time-only watch with sub-seconds at its heart, housed in a 37mm 18k gray gold case with stepped lugs and a concave bezel. The case is delicate and elegant, with a timeless design inspired by 1930s and 1940s watches.

The dial has a two-tone sandwich construction with engine-turned sub-seconds that combines 18k rose gold and blued steel leaf hands. It’s beautifully crafted by the AdC team in Barcelona, marking their first foray into dial craftsmanship.

The in-house Calibre M284 lies beneath the surface. The handmade frosting decoration elevates the movement from the standard M284. The calibre pays homage to 1940s watchmaking with traditional finishes such as handmade frosting, anglage, perlage, and more. It has a 42-hour power reserve.

The AdC30 Only Watch comes with two leather straps, each with a handmade 18K gray gold buckle. It is expected to fetch between CHF 50,000 – 70,000.
