Grand Seiko’s new limited edition watch, the SBGZ009, is a tribute to the majestic white birch forests that stretch across the Yachiho Plateau at the eastern foot of the Kita-Yatsugatake Mountains. This hand-engraved platinum watch is a masterpiece inspired by the winter beauty of the forest, with a patterned dial and long grooves in the case that paint a picture of the splendor of the white birch forest.
Crafted by the skilled hands of hand-engravers, watchmakers, and other artisans, this watch features a fully hand-engraved 43.7mm x 9.8mm Platinum 950 case that is harmoniously complemented by the white birch dial. The hour and minute hands, as well as the indexes, are crafted from 14k white gold, with minute markers and logo drawing out the delicate brilliance of the dial.
The watch is powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9R02, crafted by the Micro Artist Studio, with a maximum power reserve of approximately 84 hours when fully wound. The movement features Dual Spring Barrel and Torque Return System, ensuring high precision and longevity.
The watch comes with a crocodile leather strap and a three-fold clasp with push button release. With only 50 pieces available worldwide, this limited-edition model imparts the feeling of the tranquil flow of time through a sublime, snow-covered landscape.
