Longines Heritage 1973 Chronograph Watch – Returning to the 1970s

The elegance of the 70s has been updated to suit modern tastes.

Combining history and tradition, the Longines Heritage 1973 is based on a model from back in 1973. This new watch is fitted with the column-wheel chronograph movement (L688 calibre) developed and produced by ETA exclusively for Longines. The 40mm cushion-shaped case and the contrasts on the dial provide this model with a distinctive look. The steel case of the Longines Heritage 1973 has retained the lines of the original model. The case-back is fitted with a see-through sapphire glass, which the wearer can admire the movement of the calibre as well as the blue column-wheel.

The Longines Heritage 1973 is really an eye-catching piece. Black or silvered, the dial of the Longines Heritage 1973 has a nice touch of contrasts. Two counters have been included at 3 and 9 o’clock: black on the silvered dial and silvered on the black dial. The applied hour symbols are decorated with a black line and a dot of Super-LumiNova. These are balanced out by a minute-circle, also of black lines. A blue tachometric scale surrounds the dial, adding a subtle touch of colour.

The cushion-shape of this model is completed by the rounded push-pieces, and the watch is also mounted on a black alligator strap. You can find more information via the Longines website.
