German brand Sinn has a strong fan following in the world of tool watches. Having said that the brand does offer some nice dressy timepieces as a part of its Frankfurt Financial District collection, which was recently expanded with the new 6060B, a blue dial GMT watch.

Paying a tribute to Germany’s financial capital and where it’s headquartered, the Frankfurt Financial District watches offer a great blend of elegance and functionality. Compared to its elder brother that features an inky black dial, the 6060 B is equipped with a striking blue sunburst dial. Placed on top of the dial are applied polished markers which along with the baton style hour and minute hands have been filled with white luminous paint that offers a nice contrast to the blue background and aids low light visibility. A 24-hour scale has been printed on the inside of the markers and it can be read using a sleek arrow tipped GMT hand. There is a date window neatly tucked between the markers at 4 and 5, and finally a 12-hour scale to track a third time zone is printed on a sloped chapter ring on the outer periphery.

The case is crafted from stainless steel which has been polished in its entirety. It measures a modest 38.5mm in diameter and a thickness of just 12mm, both of which combined with the downward carvings should make this watch sit comfortably on a wide variety of wrists. The crown at 3 is used to set the time, date, and the GMT hand whereas the crown at 10 can be used to rotate the 12-hour inner rotating bezel. Even though both the crowns are not threaded, the case is still water resistant to a healthy 100 meters.

Turning the watch over one gets a nice view of the Sellita SW330-1 movement that powers this watch. The movement operates at 4Hz, comprises 25 jewels and is anti-magnetic as DIN 8309 standards. It is nicely decorated using Geneva stripes, blued screws and perlage. One peculiar detail is that the rotor has been stamped with pictures of a bear and bull, two figures associated with the stock exchanges.

The new Sinn Frankfurt Financial District 6060 B comes packed inside a special wooden box and is accompanied by a steel bracelet, a blue leather strap and a loupe. The watch retails for EUR4,200
