TAG Heuer has announced another Jack Heuer watch to follow up last year’s tribute for Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Carrera. This year it’s a bullhead chronograph reminiscent the Heuer stopwatches from the 1960s.
The 2013 version Jack Heuer chronograph shares many of the design seen in the 80th Birthday watch, including the black/grey/red color scheme and two subdials layout.
The watch has a 45mm case that is made of black titanium carbide steel, and takes its shape from the Mikrogirder. This means the case sits at a slight tilt on the wrist and is a bullhead – meaning the pushers and crown are on the top of the case instead of the side, as you can see in the pictures. There are both tachymetre and pulsometre scales on the dial, with contrasting red and silver markers which fits very well together. The back reveals the 1887 movement, which is visible through a smoked sapphire caseback, which bears Jack Heuer’s signature and coat of arms.
