The year 2023 is a significant one for the Lucerne-based watch manufacturer Carl F. Bucherer, as this year marks 135 years since their inception. To commemorate the historic event in their history, Carl F. Bucherer has launched the “Capsule Collection” comprising 5 of their most iconic pieces, presented in all-black, all reimagine bestsellers from the brand’s portfolio, signaling a clear focus on the new era and the future. In partnership with well-known faces, each model made its debut every two hours in a different city, which has been significant for three generations of the Bucherer family over the past 135 years. Three of the five new releases are limited editions while the other two are regular production models.
The capsule collection’s central theme is, as the names imply, an all-black appearance. Forged carbon was utilized to achieve this in the limited-edition models, and DLC-coated stainless steel was used in the unlimited iterations. All models have 30m water resistance.
