Chopard’s integrated bracelet sports luxury watch, the Alpine Eagle is a tribute to the alpine world and its most regal resident, the golden eagle, and it’s an athletic yet elegant timepiece. When looking back at the model’s history, it’s actually the predecessor of Alpine Eagle, the St. Moritz model which established standards for exquisite sports watches in the 1980s, and it’s the illustrious ancestor of Alpine Eagle. It was designed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who is now serving as the Co-President of the Chopard house. Compared to its predecessor, the St. Mortiz model andvthe Alpine Eagle retained the contemporary, refined, assertive style. The Alpine Eagle collection has seen a myriad of variations since its debut, including a rose gold iteration in 2021. Now Chopard has just introduced the Alpine Eagle 41, the men’s version of the watch, finally in yellow gold.

Alpine Eagle 41 is housed inside the signature tonneau-shaped case measuring 41mm x 9.7mm and crafted from ethical yellow gold. Chopard has always used ethically sourced gold in the production of its timepieces and jewelry. In keeping with this principle, the Alpine Eagle has an integrated bracelet and case made entirely of 18k ethical yellow gold. The brushed and polished case has a bezel decorated with eight screws and a 7mm screw-down crown with a compass rose. With the help of a glare-proof sapphire crystal over the dial and the exhibition caseback, the case offers a water resistance of 100 meters.

The dial is gold-colored on a brass blank and is stamped with a sunburst pattern with gilded applied hour markers and Roman numerals. The baton hour and minute hands, the numerals and the hour markers are all treated with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova. The central seconds hand has a feather counterweight, while a date window is at 4:30.

Alpine Eagle 41 Yellow Gold beats to the rhythm of a Chronometer-certified movement Calibre 01.01-C, an in-house automatic movement composed of 207 components, 31 jewels, and has a 22k gold rotor. It has a power reserve of 60 hours and beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The watch comes on an 18K ethical yellow gold integrated bracelet with polished central links and a triple-folding clasp. The Alpine Eagle 41 Yellow Gold has a price tag of EUR 53,300.
