Introducing The King Seiko KSK 6L Watch Collection With Ukiyo-e Dials

A snippet of historically rich Japanese art on the watch canvas.

Seiko doesn’t release watches from their King Seiko line as consistently as their other ‘usual’ collections. But when they do, they always have some distinct element to them. Like these three new watches in King Seiko’s KSK 6L collection. The new watches have dials carrying the rich artistic influence from traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e art. The new models include the Garyu-Bai Red, Tenjin-Fuji Violet and Kameido Blue. Each watch showcases unique patterns and colors, reflecting the beauty of Japanese art.

Sharing the same 38.6mm x 10.7mm size, the stainless steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces. With the box sapphire crystal on top, the case design includes bold, faceted lugs with sharp angles and wide, flat surfaces. The watches have a water resistance of 50 meters.

The dials of these watches feature Ukiyo-e art patterns. The Garyu-Bai Red has a rich red color with a five-petal flower motif. The Tenjin-Fuji Violet displays a pale purple color with a vine pattern. The Kameido Blue shows a tessellating hexagon pattern inspired by a tortoise shell. Despite the difference in dial texture, the dials also share a gentle fumé gradient effect with the baton hour markers and dauphine hands further add visual allure to the dials.

The handsome timepieces are driven by a 3.7mm thin Caliber 6L35 automatic movement that operates at 28,800vph with an accuracy of +15/-10 seconds per day and a power reserve of 45 hours.

Availability starting in October, the watches come with a stainless steel bracelet that matches the case. Each model in the KSK 6L collection is priced at €3,400.
