Hints, rumors and speculations about Omega shaking up the Aqua Terra line had been circulating for months and the release of the new 41mm and 38mm models has confirmed the chatter. Omega’s previous colorful releases laid the groundwork, and the new turquoise varnished dial with black gradient effect gives collectors a fresh focal point. Industry buzz fueled expectations that these models would land as a summer statement, a way to inject new life into one of the brand’s most recognized lines while highlighting technical prowess and modern aesthetics.

Omega offers two case sizes, 41mm x 13.26mm and 38mm x 12.36 mm. The matte black ceramic bezel sharpens the contrast against that lively dial, while the screw-in crown locks down a very capable 150 meters of water resistance. Up top, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial.

Dial side, the lacquered and polished turquoise varnished surface has a black gradient effect, giving it a good measure of depth and nuance. The hands and hour markers use a black PVD finish and are packed with white Super Luminova, glowing blue once the watch is in the dark. The Omega logo and date window have a grey PVD treatment to match the grey transferred wording, while the turquoise outer minute track adds a lively bit of verve to the whole package.

When you get down to brass tacks, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements back up the style with substance. The 41 mm carries Calibre 8900 with a 60 hour reserve, while the 38 mm uses Calibre 8800 with 55 hours. Both resist magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss and are METAS certified.

Finishing the package is a black structured rubber strap with turquoise stitching, held by a foldover clasp that ties the look together. Both models retail at EUR€7,800/USD$7,300. They are now available through Omega boutiques and authorized retailers.
