Oris, following in the wake of Hublot and Omega, has just released a trio of colourful watches for the summer, although I’m not sure Oris is officially calling these summer watches. These are officially the Divers Sixty-Five ‘Cotton Candy’ watches or Candy Floss.
Pastel colours can make a watch stand out, and that’s definitely the case here. Whether you opt for blue, pink or green you can expect a vibrant viewing experience, less vibrant than the Kermit edition we saw at Watches & Wonders. The watches are also very legible divers thanks to the clear markers and hands with SuperLumiNova.
This is all contained inside a stainless steel case measuring 38mm in diameter, seemingly perfect for the majority of WristReview’s readers. Water resistance is set at 100m, which might not sound much but is plenty more than one will likely ever need and does satisfy the regulations of ISO6425, which sets the requirements for what a watch must be able to do to be called a diving watch. These can come on a perlon strap or a steel bracelet.
Inside all three watches is the calibre 733, which is a self-winding movement with a 41-hour power reserve and 4Hz beat rate. This movement is based on a Sellita SW200-1, but Oris has extracted a longer power reserve from it and added their signature red rotor no doubt, though you couldn’t see it through the closed caseback. These watches are priced at $2,350 USD on the strap, or $2,550 USD on the bracelet.
