Rolex has released a new addition to its Explorer line – the Oyster Perpetual Explorer 40mm watch, featuring improved legibility and quality. Made of Oystersteel, a proprietary alloy, the watch has a black lacquer dial displaying the numerals 3, 6, and 9, and professional hands representing the watch’s adventurous spirit. The Chromalight display emits a blue glow in low-light conditions and a bright white hue in daylight.

The watch is equipped with Calibre 3230, offering essential functions such as hours, minutes, and seconds, and the Superlative Chronometer certification guarantees excellent performance. The power reserve extends to approximately 70 hours.

The 40mm Oyster case is robust and reliable, waterproof to a depth of 100 meters, with a screwed-down case back accessible only by Rolex watchmakers. The Twinlock winding crown has a double waterproof system, and the crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire with an anti-reflective coating. The Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the Easylink comfort extension link add to the watch’s practicality.

The Explorer 40 embodies Rolex’s association with exploration and is a concentrated display of technology that provides accuracy, power reserve, ease of use, and dependability with its self-winding mechanical Calibre 3230 movement. The Oyster Perpetual Explorer 40 is a reliable tool for any exploration, from scaling Mount Everest to everyday life.
