Patek Philippe has just launched a new addition to their Aquanaut collection, the “Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar 5261R” watch. This unisex watch features Patek Philippe’s patented annual calendar mechanism, and is encased in an 18k rose gold case.

The 39.9mm diameter and 10.94mm thickness case with signature rounded octagonal bezel give the watch a distinctive and contemporary appearance. The vertical satin-brushed finish and wide polished bevel replicated throughout the case are noteworthy. Water resistance is 30 meters.

The grid-like Aquanaut pattern is embossed on the bluish-gray color dial, which is bordering on gray. The moon phases at noon, date at 6 o’clock and the month and day of the week are shown on a pair of counters. White luminescence covers the baton-style hour and minute hands, applied rose gold Arabic numerals, and five-minute plots.

Caliber 26-330 S QA LU powers the watch, beating at 28,800vph, with a power reserve that oscillates between 35-45 hours.

The composite grayish-blue Aquanaut strap is saltwater and ultraviolet-ray-resistant and comes with a patented foldover clasp with four independent catches. The watch has a screw-down caseback and four recessed pushers in the caseband to adjust the calendar.

The Ref. 5261R-001 Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar is part of the brand’s collection of “useful complications” and has a price of EUR 61,000.
