Last year TAG Heuer enriched its catalog with a range of new Aquaracer 300 Professional watches. For 2022 the brand has expanded the Aquaracer 300 Professional collection with the intriguing Aquaracer Naomi Osaka Limited edition watch. Created in collaboration with Japanese Tennis player and TAG Heuer brand ambassador Naomi Osaka, this new watch features a pistachio green diamond-studded dial.

Naomi Osaka joined the TAG team in January 2021, and her love for the sport of green courts is visible on the pastel green dial of this new watch. The wavy green dial, along with the diamond-studded octagonal applied markers, adds just the right amount of elegance and feminity to this dive watch. The green theme flows over to the raised chapter ring on the outer periphery, which features a printed black minute track and bright green rectangular plots at intervals of five that mimic the color of a lawn tennis ball. Like previously released Aquaracer 300 models, a date window with a cyclops for easy readability sits at 6, making the dial look balanced and symmetrical. As for the hands, you get a sword for tracking the hours, a baton for the minutes, and a trapezoid-tipped second’s hand. As far as low light visibility is concerned, the hour and minute hands combined with the wedge-shaped markers at the 12, 3 and 9 have been deeply filled with white superluminova.

As a watch targeted towards women, the stainless-steel case on this watch is modestly sized at 36mm. The overall aesthetic of the case remains familiar to its larger 43mm siblings, featuring chunky angular lugs, a nicely knurled crown protected by crown guards, and crisp polished bevels running on both sides.

Sitting on top of the case is a decagonal bezel with a black ceramic insert that provides a nice contrast to the green dial. The case is water-resistant to a healthy 300 meters, which is ensured with the help of the threaded crown and a closed case back, which has been decorated with Naomi’s official logo: a bear holding a flower in its hand.

Internally, this watch features Tag Heuer’s automatic Calibre 5. Ticking at 4Hz, the Calibre 5 is based on the tried and tested Sellita SW200 and offers a power reserve of around 38 hours when fully wound.

The new Tag Heuer Naomi Osaka Limited Edition watch comes attached to a dark green rubber strap and is limited to just 250 pieces. The watch retails for $3,950/A$5,700/Â¥ 467.500 and will be sold exclusively in Japan, Australia, and the USA.
