Zenith recently released the concluding chapter of its Lupin The Third trilogy. Inspired by the Japanese manga and anime series, the new Chronomaster Revival A384 Lupin The Third Final Edition features a quirky dial that combines the color palate of the previous two editions and presents it inside a lightweight Titanium case.
Lupin The Third 1st And 2nd Edition
Lupin The Third Final Edition
The first and second Lupin the third Zenith watches featured black on grey and white on black dials. For the third and final model of this series, Zenith has used a mashup of the previous edition’s colorways to create an unusual, one of its kind, black and white dial. One half of the dial features a black base with a dark grey sub-dial for the running seconds, whereas the other half features a white base topped by two black sub-dials for tracking the elapsed chronograph hours and minutes. The hands and markers have a golden tone, and like always, a divisive date window sits between 4 and 5. The hands, along with the markers, have been filled with luminous paint to ensure that the watch remains legible in dimly lit situations. Finally, a bi-colored tachymeter meter scale in dark grey and white has been placed on the outer periphery.
The case still features a familiar retro design identical to the original A-384 reference with nice angular lugs, sharp polished bevels on the sides, and striking radial brushing on the top. It measures 37mm in diameter and is made of titanium to ensure maximum wrist comfort. Two pump-style chronograph pushers and a grippy crown flank the right side of the case, and water resistance is limited to 50 meters.
The mechanical heart of this watch comes in the form of the El Primero calibre 400. A true high-frequency movement, the El Primero calibre 400 ticks at 5 Hz and offers a respectable power reserve of around 50 hours when fully wound. The movement can be appreciated through the exhibition case back.
The new Zenith Chronomaster Revival A384 Lupin The Third Final Edition is limited to just 250 pieces and comes mated to the popular ladder style bracelet. The watch retails for CHF 9,900.
