Multifort Two Crowns
Steel and character: distinctive features of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Multifort
For the watchmaker Mido, the extraordinary architecture of a monument is synonymous with a mark of true design, just like the Multifort. This collection was launched in 1934, two years after the Sydney Harbour Bridge was inaugurated. The sporty-looking Multifort Two Crowns is equipped with an automatic movement. Its dial is adorned with white and orange Super-LumiNova® and a rotating flange. Featuring a folding clasp bracelet with diver extension, this model is water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft) and is an indispensable accessory for diving enthusiasts.
A real technological masterpiece, the Sydney Harbour Bridge epitomises the era of the industrial revolution in the 1930s. Beyond their functional role, such structures and buildings also have great aesthetic value. The Multifort beautifully evokes the architecture of this symbolic construction.
Reliable and durable, this distinctive timepiece is equipped with an elaborate, finely decorated automatic movement that can be admired through a transparent case back. With a 42 mm diameter and water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft), the Multifort Two Crowns is an indispensable accessory that will satisfy any diving enthusiast who appreciates Swiss tradition and expertise.
The satinated and polished steel case encircles an anthracite dial decorated with vertical Geneva stripes. A must for divers, this model is adorned with a rotating flange, the first quarter of which is treated with orange Super-LumiNova® in subtle reference to Mido’s emblematic colour. This Multifort is also distinguished by its two screw-down crowns. The first, at 2 o’clock, enables the flange to be adjusted to measure the immersion time. The other crown, at 4 o’clock, is for setting the time and winding. The vertical satinated and nickel-plated hands are treated with Super LumiNova®, as are the indexes, ensuring maximum reading comfort, both underwater and at night. An anti-reflecting sapphire crystal, treated on both sides, further enhances the readability of the time.
The Multifort Two Crowns is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and diver extension. It is also available with a rose PVD-treated steel case, brown dial and brown rubber strap, or with a black PVD treated steel case, black and orange dial and black rubber strap.
