Omega’s playing the quiet but bold game here, slipping in two full gold Seamaster Diver 300M editions without the fanfare. One is crafted from 18K Sedna gold, Omega’s proprietary rose alloy, the other from 18K Moonshine gold, its uniquely toned yellow counterpart. These new editions maintain the signature wave-patterned ceramic dial that was a hallmark of the 2018 revamp of the collection.
The Sedna Gold version is the dressier of the two, crafted from Omega’s proprietary rose gold alloy, a grain-textured gold bezel with raised diving scale and a polished white ceramic dial with those signature laser-engraved waves. The hands and markers are also Sedna gold and it’s strapped on brown rubber for a slightly softer, upscale vibe.
The Moonshine Gold edition is more traditional, pairing Omega’s warm yellow gold alloy with a black ceramic bezel (Ceragold diving scale) and a matching black polished ceramic dial. The look is bolder, moodier and leans heavily into that classic dive watch contrast.
Both stick to the familiar 42mm x 13.72mm case size, 300m water resistance, the signature lyre-shaped lugs, that unmistakable helium escape valve at 10 o’clock and all the rugged build you’d expect from a Seamaster; precious metal or not. The dials feature skeletonized hands and applied indices, all generously filled with luminous material for excellent readability in low light. Inside, they share the Calibre 8801, essentially the gold-dressed version of the 8800, with Master Chronometer certification, 55 hours of power reserve and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss.
If the recent aluminum-bezel Seamasters were a sign Omega was going understated, these two are proof the brand’s not afraid to keep the high-gloss ceramic wave dial alive; but just with a serious upgrade in weight and price. Pricing for the two wavy dialed Seamasters is set at EUR 32,900 for the Sedna Gold (Ref. 210.52.42.20.04.001) and EUR 32,200 for the Moonshine Gold (Ref. 210.62.42.20.01.003). Both models are available now, without limitations.
