Piaget's Ultra-Thin piece for Only Watch 2023 is colourful to match this year's theme!

Piaget’s Polo Skeleton Arty is their newest piece, contributing to the Only Watch charity auction, which is due to happen in just a few weeks time. Only Watch is the bi-annual charity auction which aims to raise money for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which severely shortens the lives of children across the world.

Although much progress has been made in this area, including the doubling of the expected lifespan of those who suffer from the condition, its severe complexity means it’s as yet impossible to eradicate. The hope is that one day it won’t be, and that the Only Watch auction can help.

Piaget’s watch pays tribute to “Hexa Grace”, an artwork on display for all in Monaco, which has the colours of the rainbow across it. The watch is meant to represent that artwork, with green movement elements on the front and blue on the back, red rubies and a gold case. Although the case is 18k pink gold case, so they almost got it.

Nevertheless, the watch is very attractive with the skeletonised movement showing the balance wheel and solid gold micro-rotor. The movement is an ultra-thin calibre, just 2.4mm thick, but it still has a 44-hour power reserve with a 3Hz beat rate. The watch measures 42mm x 6.5mm.

The estimate for this one is between 50,000 – 80,000 CHF, and we think it’ll match that.
