For Only Watch 2023, TAG Heuer offers the Monaco Split-Seconds – its inaugural mechanical split-seconds chronograph with a novel movement. Setting a new path for the iconic Monaco series, this creation harnesses elite watchmaking expertise.
The very recognizable angular case is made of textured titanium, a new material that was specifically developed for this watch. The case is 41mm in diameter and 15.2mm thick, and it has a sapphire crystal caseback and front. The crown and pushers are also made of titanium.
The dial is made of sapphire, and it features applied Super-LumiNova block hour markers. The subsidiary dials are suspended on titanium bridges. The watch has a black-and-white color scheme, which is classic and elegant.
Under the hood is the brand new TAG Heuer Calibre TH81-00. An automatic split-seconds chronograph movement made in titanium with a power reserve of 65 hours.
The watch comes paired with a handmade calfskin strap with contrasting red stitched accents. The strap has a titanium double deployant clasp.
The Tag Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds, a limited edition, will be auctioned at Only Watch 2023 with an estimated price of CHF 150,000 – 300,000. Auction proceeds support Duchenne muscular dystrophy research.
