When you look at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time, you will immediately say that it is one of the best traveler watches created until recently. There are several watches that show two time zones on a single dial, but you cannot precisely adjust the second time in all of them. You can do that in the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre, and it now flaunts a splendid hand-engraved dial.
Most world timers indicate time in 24 time zones across the globe, but this one indicates 37, allowing the time to be more precisely indicated. In addition, it has an adjustable second clock, so that you can manually adjust the time as per your location.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre indicates two times: the left one for travel time, and the right one for home time. You can adjust everything with a single crown, with pushers on the left side with which you can adjust the second time zone easily. The minute hand of this second clock can be adjusted with the crown so that the time zone can be set without any full hour deviations.
At 6 of the dial, you can view 24 time zones of the globe. The sub-dial rotates once in 24 hours, and thus indicates day and night too. There is a large second hand, and two power reserve indicators below each sub-dial of time zones.
What’s so unique about the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre is its silvery-white dial with a slightly grained finish. The surface is hand-engraved by using a chisel to remove some material in different directions. The process gives it a raw, shiny and delicate pattern, that looks cool on the 42mm diameter surface, with brushed flanks and mirror polished flat surfaces. You can buy this only in extra white 18K gold with black alligator strap. The movement features blued hands, rayonnates Geneva stripes and chamfered bridges. The bridges and the main plate are made up of untreated German silver, due to which it gains its warm yellow color.
There are only 200 pieces of Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time made so far with hand-engraved dial, thus making it a limited edition piece.
