With all of the success of the gorgeous Panerai models over the past years, we all have come to be excited whenever the brand has something new up its sleeves. Of course, to justify our excitement, there are 5 new limited edition models.
So without further ado, the new limited edition Panerai models are introduced with the references PAM00790 and PAM00791.
Of course, these models are released in the Radiomir 1940 style case that measures at 47 mm in diameter. Large you say? Well, you are right, this is definitely a Radiomir DNA but the classic 1940 case has always been elegant and it never grows old at least to me just to be honest. In addition, the new models feature totally new dials that I have not seen in a Panerai watch in a while or maybe all the time. These dials come in an impressive black and cream color tones, classic but definitely innovative. They stand out and certainly they work best in all lighting conditions. Moreover, both timepiece models are powered with the hand-wound Caliber Ref. P3000 movement offering 3 days of power autonomy.
On the other hand, we have a more modest case size on offer at 44 mm from the standard collection model, the PAM00795. It also features nice contrasting cream color indices against black background dial and it also has a very useful power reserve indicator. Then there is the new model of the Luminor 8 Days Power Reserve that is powered by the Caliber Ref. P.5002 movement with an impressive 8 days of power reserve. The waterproof case is rated to 300 meters and is equipped with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a solid case back.
Moreover, the PAM00797 which is the titanium version of PAM00795 also comes in a modest case size of 44 mm diameter Luminor style. This one uses a lightweight titanium alloy so if you like lightweight, this is the way to go. Under its hood is the Caliber Ref. P.5002 which is also seen on the stainless steel version. The tobacco-colored dial distinguishes the watch from the stainless model. Why the need to be distinct? The titanium alloy and the stainless steel watches almost look the same. The only gripe I have with the tobacco-colored dial is that it somehow impedes legibility although not very bad thanks to the bright hands and indices.
Finally, the collection features a model designed for Destro or basically for left-handed wearers. The Luminor Marina Destro PAM00796 comes in a 44 mm stainless steel case and is equipped with a sapphire crystal display case back unlike the other models. Thanks to this exhibition caseback, we can see the cool hand-wound Caliber Ref. P.5001 featuring 8 days of power reserve. The handy power indicator is also located at the back. This model is also rated to 300 meters with an exhibition caseback making this model quite unique in Panerai world. Visit Panerai here.
