The new Breitling Premier collection combines tool-ish watches with style delivering quality, performance, and timeless designs to ensure the brand’s legacy.
There are five distinct models in the collection, some of which are historic. While we know Breitling for its aviator and diver’s watches, the new collection is designed for land watches which is, of course, a first for the brand. Breitling CEO Georges Kern stated, “This is the first modern Breitling collection dedicated to everyday elegance…”
Furthermore, the new watches make an uncompromising style statement including chronographs, day and date models, and three-hand watches with a discreet, small second subdial.
The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 models, features Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. This mechanical movements is a flagship and carries chronometer-certified chronograph with power reserve of over 70 hours. The Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with a transparent caseback and is available with a dark blue or silver dial. The clean dial is finished with black subdials with a chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small second subdial at 9 o’clock, along with a date window at 6 o’clock. Each model also features a tachymeter.
The Premier Chronograph 42 ensures superb performance thanks to the in-house Caliber 13 chronometer movement. The watch features a chronograph with minute and hour counters at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively, as well as the small second subdial at 9 o’clock. The watch comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with a blue or black dial featuring a white tachymeter ring with a black scale.
Moving on, the Breitling Premier Automatic 40 showcases an understated style. It evokes Breitling’s elegant watches from the 1940s. Powering it, is the Breitling Caliber 37, a self-winding mechanical chronometer movement. It comes on an anthracite, blue, or silver dial and wears on a nubuck or alligator leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. Meanwhile, its dial is elegantly finished with a small second subdial at 6 o’clock.
Another watch is the Breitling Premier Automatic Day & Date 40 displaying time, day of the week and the date, which are located at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively. Behind the hood is the Breitling Caliber 45 self-winding chronometer movement. It comes with either a black or a silver dial and wears on a stainless-steel bracelet or a nubuck or alligator leather strap with white stitching.
Moving on, the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green celebrates Breitling’s partnership with Bentley Motors. It’s powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 mechanical movement, which is visible through the transparent caseback. The striking British racing green dial has contrasting subdials located at 3 and 9 o’clock, while the date window is at 6 o’clock. What distinguishes it from the other models in the collection is the engraved plate inscribed with the Bentley name on the left side of the case inspired by the dashboard of the supercharged 1929 “Blower” Bentley. We will come back to this one later this week. Visit Breitling here.
