Bell & Ross has a strong fan following in the world of utilitarian sports watches. And, while the brand’s diverse catalog offers everything from pilots to dive watches, it is their square-shaped watches that make them stand out from their competitors. A short while ago, Bell & Ross released the stunning BR 03-92 Red Bronze, and now the brand is back with the new stealthy BR03-92 Diver Military featuring a Khaki green dial and fully clad in black ceramic.
With almost every brand willing to play around with it, green can easily be considered as the most trending color in the world of horology right now. For the new BR03-92 Diver Military Bell & Ross has gone with a muted olive-green color that can be seen on uniforms of military personnel. To provide a nice contrast to the dial and enhance legibility, the lume filled applied numerals along with the hands have been blacked out. Furthermore, the minute track on the outer flange is also printed in black making it easy to read the time at a glance. And finally, completing the dial is a neatly executed small circular date window between the marker at 4 and 5, which features a wheel that exactly matches the color of the dial.
To give the watch a stealthy look, the masculine square case is made using Matt black ceramic. The use of ceramic helps keep the weight of the watch in check and implies that the case will remain pristine for a longer period as it would not get scratched easily. In terms of dimensions, the case measures 42mm in width, which is a little large for a square-shaped case. However, the small downward angled lugs would help in making the watch sit comfortably on the wrist. Sitting on top of the case is a uni-directional black ceramic bezel with white markings. At the 3 o’clock position is a grippy crown, that screws down to ensure that the watch remains water-resistant to 300 meters.
Like many of its siblings, the BR 03-92 Diver Military is powered by the caliber BR-CAL.302, which is based on the reliable and trustworthy Sellita SW 300-1. It operates at 4Hz and offers a power reserve of around 42 hours when fully wound. The movement is hidden behind the closed case-back.
The new Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Military is limited to just 999 pieces and will cost EUR 4,400. The watch would be sold in a special waterproof pelican case with two strap options inside the box: a woven black rubber and a khaki fabric strap.
