Laurent Ferrier is known for its classically elegant timepieces, which are often inspired by the founder’s passion for motor racing. The brand has unveiled a new timepiece for Only Watch 2023, the Sport Auto “On Track”, paying tribute to the brand’s history in motor racing, as well as the colorful and vibrant theme of this year’s Only Watch auction.
The Sport Auto “On Track” is powered by the Laurent Ferrier LF270.01 self-winding movement with 72 hours power reserve, which is housed in a 41.5mm grade 5 titanium case. The case is water-resistant to 120 meters and features a contrasting bezel with softer features.
The dial of the Sport Auto “On Track” is the most striking feature of the watch. It features a charcoal gray gradient dial with a track pattern alternating yellow and blue. The hour-circle is surrounded by a green transfer, and the white small second dial combined with the tone-on-tone indication ‘OW’, appears to indicate the finish line or the very objective of the race played on this unique timepiece.
The Sport Auto “On Track” is fitted with a grade 5 titanium 3-link integrated bracelet and a grade 5 titanium folding clasp. It is expected to sell for CHF 55,000 – 85,000 at the Only Watch auction.
