Zenith, in collaboration with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has unveiled the Chronomaster Sport Aaron Rodgers Edition, a distinctive timepiece that pays homage to Rodgers’ illustrious football career. This special edition is not only a celebration of Rodgers’ achievements but also a unique blend of style and precision and stands out as a vibrant tribute to the quarterback’s journey. Decked in the New York Jets’ team colors, this timepiece reflects Rodgers’ transition from the Green Bay Packers to the Jets, capturing the essence of his iconic career shift. The watch follows in the footsteps of Zenith’s celebrity lineup, particularly the Chronomaster Sport collection, known for its historical significance and contemporary design.
This special edition features a 41mm stainless steel case with a green ceramic bezel, engraved with a 1/10th of a second scale, a first for the Chronomaster Sport collection. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters and is fitted with a three-link steel bracelet with a fine-adjustment clasp.
The watch’s dial is also green and is lacquered with a sunburst finish. The dial features applied and luminescent Arabic numerals inspired by the numbers used on the jerseys of New York Jets players. The three overlapping sub-dials are picked out in shades of anthracite, light gray and silver and feature snailed interiors. The hour and minute hands are also luminescent, and the central chronograph seconds hand features a yellow tip and the signature Zenith star counterweight completing a full turn around the dial in 10 seconds – six times faster than a standard chronograph hand.
Powering the Chronomaster Sport Aaron Rodgers Edition is the iconic El Primero 3600 movement. This high-frequency automatic chronograph operates at 36,000vph (5Hz), allowing it to measure and display time with a remarkable accuracy of 1/10th of a second. The movement’s column wheel and horizontal coupling architecture ensure precise and smooth chronometric measurements, with a 60-hour power reserve and an openworked star-shaped rotor.
The Chronomaster Sport Aaron Rodgers Edition features a three-link stainless steel bracelet with satin-brushed and polished finishes, ensuring both aesthetics and wrist comfort. Limited to 250 pieces, it was released on November 2, 2023, through Zenith’s boutiques and online channels, with a retail price of CHF 11,900/USD 12,800.
