Great things come in small packages and there are naught but a few brands that can pull off a perpetual calendar watch with an automatic movement and moon phase complication while being ultra-thin to this degree. The Audemars Piguet is one such brand and their newest watch, limited edition exclusive to Greater China, a Full-Gold AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin typifies the adage in a stunning way.

The case of the watch bears the iconic and a very recognizable octagonal bezel and eight screws, white gold in this case. It has a diameter of 41mm and true to its namesake, only 6.2mm thick, made entirely of yellow gold with brushed and polished finishes. The watch has a 20m water resistance along with a screw-lock crown.

The dial has a monochromatic gold tone that matches the case and the bracelet. Featuring yellow gold-tone subdials for the perpetual calendar functions, including date, day, month, and moon phase. The moon phase display shows a gold moon set on a blue starry background. The hour markers are in yellow gold, while Royal Oak hands glow white when light level is low.

Audemars Piguet’s in-house platform Calibre 5133 movement powers the watch. It uses a central rotor, beats at 19,800vph with a power reserve of 40 hours. The thinness of just 2.89mm allows it to pack all the perpetual calendar features into one sleek plane.

Watch is paired with an 18k yellow gold bracelet with AP folding clasp. Limited to just 88 pieces, it’s available only in Greater China. While the price is upon request, it’s expected to exceed CHF 150,000.
