Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome has a new skeletonized watch unveiled, called “Orbital Skylab”, in celebration of 40th anniversary of NASA’s first space station.
The new Skylab models come in either 44mm wide stainless steel, stainless steel with a black PVD-coated bezel or black PVD-coated stainless steel case and paws with a rose gold bezel. As for the movements, the bridges come either in anthracite (Skylab Heavy Metal) or in black PVD-coated steel. RJ has combined clean lines and intricate details of the original space station in order to mimic revolutionary design.
Powered by a Swiss automatic Romain Jerome caliber RJ004-M with 28,800 vph, and offers also a 48 hours power reserve.
The timepieces completes the look in addition with a black leather calf skin strap. Available in three options – ‘Speed Metal’, ‘Heavy Metal’ and ‘Red’ – each model is limited to 99 pieces and the prices starts from $16,950 USD at selected RJ-Romain Jerome retailers worldwide. romainjerome.ch
