While SIHH 2013, where Officine Panerai will present it line-up for the year is almost a week away, the company has already presented one of its offerings for 2013 a while ago.
This is the Officine Panerai Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio, or PAM00530.
The PAM00530 is a split-seconds chronograph powered by an in-house designed and built P.2006 movement.
Specifications
Movement: mechanical with manual winding. The manufacturing caliber Panerai P.2006 / 3. Diameter of 13 ¾ lines, thickness 9.6 mm, 34 jewels, balance Glucydur ®, 28,800 vibrations per hour. Shock resistant KIF Parechoc ®. Power reserve 8 days, three barrels. Two column-wheels, 356 parts.
Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, linear power reserve indicator, reset second’s hand device, split-chronograph.
Case: brushed titanium, diameter 47 mm. Buttons from brushed titanium with polished piping at the “8” and “10” o’clock position.
Bezel:Â Polished titanium.
Caseback:Â Transparent sapphire glass.

Dial: Black, with luminous hour markers. Minute indicator at the “3” o’clock position, second’ indicator at the “9” o’clock position, linear power reserve indicator at the “6” o’clock position, the central chronograph hand and split-chronograph.
Crystal:Â Sapphire, corundum, 2 mm thick with anti-reflective coating.
Water resistance:Â 10 bar (~ 100 meters).
Strap:Â rubber with Panerai logo and solid titanium buckle, an additional strap, tool replacement and a steel screwdriver.
