Montegrappa is known as the oldest Italian manufacturer of high-end writing instruments, and had its 100th anniversary recently. They had a exhibiting at the Baselworld in 2011 for the first time. Apart from producing luxury writing instruments, cuff links and fragrances, Montegrappa is also known for their NeroUno line of watches.
The collection is named after an exclusive line of writing instruments, and the watches are made in collaboration with Swiss watchmakers. The product of this partnership is the NeroUno collection of timepieces, which combines the best features of both classic and modern watches.
Finally I have my hands on these two stunning timepieces!
For each day that passes, it feels like they are made just for you, The Quartz version with the white dial gives you the impression of elegance while the automatic All-Black PVD version is your sporty and active companion. Both versions gives you a pleasure and joy for every moment.
They are in a reasonable pricerange, which is a good thing for those with thin wallets or just they who don´t want to spend a fortune on a watch. These timepieces are water resistant to 5 ATM (40m) and includes a black gemstone mounted in its crown and on the dial (only quartz).
The Quartz version has a more appealing dial with line pattern and a subdial for the seconds hands, while the Automatic has a “skeleton date” with a semi transparent window that shows the date disk and also Roman numeral and baton hour markers.
Every NeroUno watch includes either a Ronda 6004(Quartz) or a ETA-2824(Automatic), which is one of the most reliable workhorse movements there is(the last-mentioned).
They come also in different colors, layouts, versions and each of the Montegrappa Nero Uno Automatic watches are limited edition of 999 pieces.
Which is a challenge that Montegrappa seems want to accept.
