Here we go again, Watches And Wonders 2025 is in full swing and this year, Lange leans into tradition and complexity with three releases: the 1815 in a sleek 34mm case, the ultra-complicated Minute Repeater Perpetual, and a new Odysseus in Honeygold. Let’s dive in.
The 1815 34mm
The 1815 collection is all about temperateness, the new 34mm version inclines heavily into that philosophy with a case measuring 34.0mm x 6.4mm, making it the smallest 1815 in the lineup. It’s available in white gold or pink gold, with a slender, slightly tiered bezel.
The dial keeps things simple with a railroad minute track, where the lancet hands, set against a blue backdrop, complement the case and reinforce the 1815’s traditional aesthetic. The hands match the case color and material with crisp Arabic numerals. There’s nothing flashy here; just well-executed watchmaking in a compact form.
Under the hood is the new calibre L152.1, a manually wound movement offering a 72-hour power reserve. The traditional three-quarter plate, hand-engraved balance cock, and gold chatons are all present, reinforcing Lange’s commitment to Saxon watchmaking traditions.
Paired with a blue leather strap (WG) and a reddish-brown strap (PG).
The Minute Repeater Perpetual (Ref. 607.091FE)
Amalgamating a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar isn’t easy, but Lange has managed it in a 40.5mm x 12.1mm 950 platinum case. The metal choice isn’t just for aesthetics though; it plays a role in how the chimes sound when the repeater is activated.
The 18K gold dial is finished with black enamel that gives the watch a dramatic presence, with the big date at 12 o’clock, day-of-week and the 24-hour displays at 9, moon phase at 6, and month at 3. The minute repeater’s gongs and hammers are visible on the caseback, adding to the mechanical appeal.
Powering it all is the calibre L122.2, a manually wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Lange has refined the repeater mechanism, eliminating pauses and improving safety features.
Limited to 50 pieces, this watch comes on a hand-stitched black alligator strap with 950 platinum deployant clasp.
The Odysseus Honeygold (Ref. 363.150)
The Odysseus gets a warmer look with Honeygold in 40.5mm x 11.1mm size, Lange’s proprietary alloy that’s harder than regular gold. It’s the first Odysseus in full Honeygold, It has an admirable 120m water resistance.
The dark brown, brassy dial with stepped features that complements the material, featuring an embossed texture with hands and notched baton appliques that are also made of honey gold and the signature day-date display.
Inside, the L155.1 Datomatic movement keeps the same specs as before, with a platinum rotor and 50-hour reserve.
Odysseus Honeygold is the first Odysseus presented with a honey-gold, five-row bracelet with adjusting deployant clasp. It’s limited to 100 pieces.
