Audemars Piguet has once again elevated its edgy Royal Oak Offshore with a new timepiece that exudes a darker, more masculine charm. The latest addition to the collection introduces a smoked bronze dial, an inspiration from the colors of Habanos cigars and a departure from the traditional Offshore aesthetic.

Crafted in stainless steel, it measures 43mm x 14.4mm. The case showcases alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces that play well with light. The steel case is complemented by a black ceramic bezel, crown, and push-pieces. The watch’s water resistance is up to 100 meters.

The smoked bronze color of the dial is rich and warm, with darkened edges that add depth and character. This hue is offset by a black inner bezel, which features a clear and crisp tachymeter scale in white. The dial is adorned with the iconic Méga Tapisserie pattern, providing a textured backdrop for the blackened gold hour markers and Royal Oak hands, which are packed with lume. Three subdials positioned at 9, 6, and 3 o’clock echo the black of the inner bezel.

At its heart is the in-house Caliber 4401, a column wheel chronograph with flyback function. Operating at 28,800vph and offering 70 hours of power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback, showcasing intricate finishes including Côtes de Genève and an openworked 22K pink gold rotor.

Completing the watch is an easily interchangeable brown alligator leather strap, treated with an Oxford hand-finished patina. A black rubber strap is also included. Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph 43 mm ref. 26420S is available now, priced at €42,200.
